Benjamin Sawchak receives Eagle Scout awardOVERLAND PARK, KS [MW Diocese Communica-tions] — A Court of Honor, during which Benjamin Sawchak was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, was held at Holy Trinity Church, Overland Park, KS on Saturday, January 28, 2017.

The son of Archpriest Timothy Sawchak, Rector of Holy Trinity Church, and Matushka Jennifer Sawchak, Benjamin organized the building of a fence around the cemetery at Holy Archangel Michael and All Angels Skete [Serbian Diocese], Weatherby, MO as his Eagle Scout project.  Benjamin presented a plaque, indicating that it was an Eagle Scout project, to the Skete's Deacon Theophan Frazier.  The plaque will be mounted on the fence.

Benjamin received congratulatory certificates from His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon; NASA; and State Representative Bill Sutton [KS].

Priest Christopher Rowe, Associate Priest at Holy Trinity Church, gave the invocation and benediction.
