FORTIETH DAY MEMORIAL TO BE HELD IN ALL PARISHES

CHICAGO, IL [MW Communications] - In a letter sent today to all clergy and parishes diocesan Chancellor, Archpriest John Zdinak announced plans for the celebration of the Fortieth day of the late Archbishop Job's falling asleep.

"The Fortieth Day of His Eminence, Archbishop Job's falling asleep is January 26, 2010. In order to allow as many faithful as possible to pray together, all Parishes of the Diocese are to celebrate a Memorial Service for His Eminence either before Great Vespers on Saturday, January 30th or following the Holy Liturgy, Sunday, January 31st," said Fr Zdinak in his letter. The letter continued, "Finally, where possible I encourage parishes in proximity to each other to jointly serve a Memorial Services on Tuesday, January 26."

Presently personal reflections and copies of His Eminence's art work, both musical and graphic; sacred and secular are being collected for a tribute page on this and the Orthodox Church in America's website. Those possessing any of His Eminence's work are encouraged to send copies to Archpriest John Matusiak at tocmed@hotmail.com.
