CHICAGO, IL [MW Communications] - Children and teens from parishes across the Diocese of the Midwest will experience the joys of summer camp in the coming weeks.

The 2009 season opens with the Chicago Deanery Camp, Troy, WI, June 27 - July 1. The Very Rev. Thomas Mueller, dean, reports that this year's enrollment is double that of last year. "With well over 50 applicants and a staff of a dozen, we had to place participants on a waiting list for the first time in the camp's history," said Father Thomas.

Saint Vladimir Camp, Green Township, OH, will offer two sessions -- June 28 - July 4 for ages 7 through 11, and July 6 - 11 for teens age 12 through 16.

The Kansas City Deanery's Eastern Orthodox Youth Camp and the Indianapolis Deanery's Saint John Camp share the same dates this year -- July 26 through August 1 -- while the Minneapolis Deanery's Saint Mary Camp will be in session, June 28 - July 5.
