MISSION DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
Mission Communities | Developing Vibrant Missions | Mission Resources | Mission Community Needs

On behalf of the Diocese of the Midwest and under the direction of the Diocesan Hierarch, the Mission Department guides and supports the development of new missions in the region. The department nurtures these new communities of faith and witness from small cores of people to their maturity as full parishes.

The Mission Department currently oversees the mission outreach of: 13 full missions, and 1 mission station.

Deaneries, established parishes, and local groups are all encouraged to consider planting a mission in areas where there is no Orthodox presence.

To inquire about starting a mission in your area please contact His Grace, Bishop Matthias.
